At Radlow, we decided to commit to making small-batch, still English wine, looking to the next chapter for the winemaking industry in the UK.
Here are our top pairings for the Easter weekend, if you’re keen to dip into the world of English wine for a real talking point at the table:
One of the few Rondo bottlings available from England, this grape is resistant to English chills and the warm summers fill the softly sweet fruit. Pair with traditional lamb and hasselback potatoes for your Easter main.
Tasting Notes:
With delicate hints of vanilla, dark cherries and a damson nose, this ruby red soft Rondo is a medium bodied wine. Notes of dark currants and a hint of pepper lifts the cherry flavour whilst a gentle oaked edge and light tannins bring this single variety wine to a playfully pleasing finish.
A premium blend of fruity Rondo red grapes and crisp Solaris white grapes, inspired by the sweeping shingle beach along the River Wye, portrayed on the label. Pair with salmon and prawn with dill to start.
Tasting notes:
Alluring summer berry aromas burst through with hints of green tea. The refreshing flavours of strawberries and limes balance the sweetness with a medium dry finish.
Crisp and exceptionally fruity, this grape performs spectacularly in British climates, and produces some of the best English white wine. Pair with a slice of classic simnel cake.

The honeydew melon nose is enlivened by the natural citrus of the late ripening vine. With hints of honey and lemon, the crisp wine flows smoothly, teasing an enticingly dry palate with a delicate clean finish.
