Our Story
We have been farming for seven generations. Our estate and English vineyard fall within the beautiful rolling landscape previously known as the Radlow Hundred, an administrative area noted in the Domesday Book.
Proud of our heritage, our small-batch award-winning English wine is a commemorative nod to our farmscape’s history and surrounding community.
To continue the success of our family’s hard work and to preserve our farm for future generations, we are mindful of the changes and challenges we face. Through ambitious diversification, we cautiously plan to stabilise our traditional way of life whilst protecting our landscape as part of the British farming community. Our Founder and Director, Susan Vaughan, has always said that her Grandad would never have thought we’d be planting vines in England today. But with this shift into viticulture, we see English wine as a potential future staple for farming in the UK and believe the best is yet to come.
We have worked hard to bring our delicious wines to market. By meticulously pairing grapes to the soil, we’ve created a unique collection of still, small-batch wines that reflect the best of the terroir in our Herefordshire home. And in 2024 we were thrilled to receive a Silver Medal for our 2023 Rosé and Bronze Medal for our 2023 Rondo English Red Wine at the WineGB Awards.
Each bottle ignites a fond memory of our area. Our labels tell the story of our local area from the warm summers of cricket to the riverside days along the Wye. As you sip our special English wines, raise a glass to all the memories that are, and toast to all that are yet to be.
